Prayer

Luke 18:1-8
The Story of the widow, and how her life reflects persistent prayer. I really liked our speaker today. Paster Joe. And he’s not white, with a name like joe.

The points from his sermon were:
1. Don’t Doubt
2. Persistent Prayer
3. Postive Attitude

Just thought I shld post it, just incase I forget (I can always come back here and check)

He shared many verses, and I was happy that every single one of them were highlighted in my Bible. That means i’ve been doing my reading, makes me happy.

Site is almost done. Stayed up till 4am. Bad sleeping patterns in the making.
Also cuz i played games w/ dan till like 2 then got started…

Just missing the js menus. Hopefully that won’t be a pain to make.

extra:
And yah, prayers arn’t answered instantly. The part where it says.. pray persistently doesn’t mean just for a week, or a month. it means years or as long as it takes to see God’s hand move – not everything goes when u say it should. God has his perfect timing.

the pastor shared with us his experience. he prayed for his parents after he accepted Christ to also believe. but they were very firm when saying no. he prayed for like what? 6,7 years… then when his sister became sick, his father broke down – went to the nearest church and commited his life to Christ.

not only in life is it like this, but also in the Bible. i went home and thought of some other examples.
- abraham prayed for a kid, even at his old age and it probably wasn’t instant.
- joseph was in jail for 14 years before he was put into good use by the Lord.
- noah had to wait 120 years for the flood to come.

God has his perfect timing. sometimes it’s instant. like daniel and the lions den, or his friends in the burning furnace. but it all depends. never doubt God.

read james chapter1:6-7

and remember your never too busy to pray
