finished my midterms. they were tough, however.. very interesting.
i think i did well on them all. hard to say, but at least i can’t say i didn’t try my best
i got my physics results back from that 3 question midterm. i ended up with a 17/20. but i could’ve gotten an extra mark if i learnt how to multiply properly. lol i’m just sulking now. basically 120 * .25 = 40 on my exam…. and that cost me 5%!!! argggg
the other exams i havn’t gotten back yet. but i’m sure i couldn’t have bombed them all..
so thats that…
obedience
that is another lesson i’m trying to learn. to obey whatever God asks us to do. it’s such a hard thing. he whispers, and you go. but how do we really know that – that is His will?
yesterday was a good day – finishd my last midterm ( chem – which was really good ) and then went to CCF and hung out until 3am with people. haha i’m sorry this isn’t a very meaningful post. i’m just posting for the sake of posting. i’ll be back sunday! haha..
its over!

we all strive to achieve something,
maybe its a career, a status, a title. whatever… why are we in university anyways if we’re arn’t after some sort of status.
middle class and up? anyways, on Sunday. Pastor Tim said something that spoke to me loud and clear.
if your ever given the chance to choose between status or sharing your testimony, you should take the testimony. why? because people are changed and influenced by your testimony. status… thats just for yourself. of course you could become a doctor and heal people, and yes thats very impressive. but what if your able to change the way people live, the way people think.
people in the world today are not remembered for their status, but rather their testimonies. their actions. same with the bible.
pharoh had the status as ruler of the land, he was the king of all egypt. however, moses – a nobody compared to him is more known because of his testimonies. his testimony of the burning bush, leading the isrealites out of egypt, splitting the red sea. elijah, was rememberd for his testimonies. so was david – status is something that is valued too highly by members of society.
so if you ever get the chance to give a testimony, whether it be at TC, or just at ur church or at a fellowship. give it a try. you will be suprised how many people can relate to what you have to say.
and even no matter how stupid you may think it is. its not. cuz i once thought my testimony would be stupid too. but i decided to share anyways. and i’ve realized that the experiences you have, are unique and inspiring.
anyways Midterms. i think ‘im ready. lets go own it. ! gl everybody!

We are all in a community. We are part of one, even if we don’t realize it.
[excuse my bad grammar, it's late and i'm rambling -- i hope u understand what i'm trying to say]
They support us. they help us. we help them back. communities work by the contributions of individuals. the bible talks about contributions, and what type of requirements we ought to have in our christian communities…
(acts2 last para)
- devotion to the teaching of the apostles
- giving heart
- gathering with a sincere heart
- prayer
- priase and worship [to God]
(ephesians4:1-17)
- unity [keeping it also]
we are all given different gifts, and we can all give back to community in our own ways. however, the list given above is often not met.
devotion to the teaching of the apostles – is one that is really not popular in most of lives (including me at times) it’s hard to continaully read in God’s word, cuz we’re so “busy” but even so.. we find time for our favorite tv shows. our friends. our work? we just ditch God’s word and his teachings. sometimes we practice what we believe in at church, but do we do it when we are outside in the real world? is it just easier to conform with the rest of the world? go with the flow, instead of fighting the current? but that’s not what God asks of us. we should continue to read His word, and act in a manner that reflects what we believe in. –
i guess the hardest part about this task is having the faith to do what the set of instructions require. sure, reading a book other than the bible is easy. cuz we can tangibly see our results. but reading a book written from above is something people really question. is it really written from God? does a God exists? the level of our faith reflects on how intent we are to read our bibles or follow God’s word. If we were all first class believers, with complete faith in God – we would all be God fearing people. but we aren’t. there is a level of faith .. actually many levels. for someone that just believes God is there, picking up a bible on a regular basis is really hard. and it’s a challenge that i want to offer people.. to take their faith seriously.
there was this one story that really showed me what it means to have faith.
“during a time of drought, a church gathered
to have a time of prayer for some rain.
When they finished praying, they decided to meet
again the next day to pray for rain again.
but when the next day came…
even with the clear skies – only one,
one person! came to the prayer meeting with
an umbrella“
this story reflects on what having real faith is all about. believing in something so much, that you would put it into actions. and that is something we lack. putting what we believe into actions. sure we believe in the teachings of the word. but do we do it? isn’t it hypocrisy if we don’t do what we say? Last fall retreat, this story was told to reflect what it means to have the gift of faith. and i think it’s a very hard lesson to learn.
also faith affects our prayers. if we don’t believe 100% that God will do everything in His own time, our prayers will become inconsistent. and well. we will become discouraged. even when PRAYER is such a huge part of our faith, communicating with our heavenly father.. not many people do it regularly. and even less when we pray for a community. why? because we are self-centered people. and yes.. it’s true. nobody is that self-less…. at least not that i’ve met.
‘the community? whats that??’ …. ‘why do we need to pray for that? it doesn’t concern me.’
thats the sort of attitude it recieves… i would personally love to see more people putting prayer higher up on their list.
…
sure… going back to the original topic of what we need in a community. we’ve got the whole praise and worship down to the finest detail in most churches, and sure unity are great in most churches. lots of people gather with a sincere heart… (well at least for most churches)
but why is it that teachings and prayer so low on people’s list?
anyways I would just like to challenge people to start taking their faith seriously. do what you say, do what you believe in. it is not until you start to take it seriously that you will meet God at some deeper level. anyways. i’m very incoherent. hope that all made sense. i’m not gonna bother reposting another time. comment and tell me if it needs clarification. i’m out… so late

forgiveness was granted by the death of God’s only son, Jesus. It is important that we value the importance of His resurrection.
It is only through forgiveness that we can continue to keep the relationships we have with one another. What would happen if nobody ever forgave each other? Even on a good day, if you pay attention, you ask for forgiveness and receive it multiple times. If nobody forgave each other, friendships would never exist. Even God needs to forgive our sins to maintain that personal relationship with us.
Throughout the oldest sacrifices were made to ask God to forgive them. God didn’t have to, but he did. And after Jesus died, we no longer had to give a sacrifice anymore, because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice that atoned for all our sins.
It is through forgiveness that we can truly form better relationships.
it is through forgiveness that we can form a closer and more personal relationship between one another
forgiveness heals broken relationships
forgiveness draws us closer to each other on a personal level and helps us get to know each other better. Likewise it is with God. So if you think your all that, and don’t’ require forgiveness. or that your afraid of confronting your sins with God. you should think twice. because God is a gracious God.
ontop of that.
if you have any problems, or grudges against friends or past friends. try extending some forgiveness to them. since forgiveness is only exercised by the ‘wronged’ person.
