testimony versus status
we all strive to achieve something,
maybe its a career, a status, a title. whatever… why are we in university anyways if we’re arn’t after some sort of status.
middle class and up? anyways, on Sunday. Pastor Tim said something that spoke to me loud and clear.
if your ever given the chance to choose between status or sharing your testimony, you should take the testimony. why? because people are changed and influenced by your testimony. status… thats just for yourself. of course you could become a doctor and heal people, and yes thats very impressive. but what if your able to change the way people live, the way people think.
people in the world today are not remembered for their status, but rather their testimonies. their actions. same with the bible.
pharoh had the status as ruler of the land, he was the king of all egypt. however, moses – a nobody compared to him is more known because of his testimonies. his testimony of the burning bush, leading the isrealites out of egypt, splitting the red sea. elijah, was rememberd for his testimonies. so was david – status is something that is valued too highly by members of society.
so if you ever get the chance to give a testimony, whether it be at TC, or just at ur church or at a fellowship. give it a try. you will be suprised how many people can relate to what you have to say.
and even no matter how stupid you may think it is. its not. cuz i once thought my testimony would be stupid too. but i decided to share anyways. and i’ve realized that the experiences you have, are unique and inspiring.
anyways Midterms. i think ‘im ready. lets go own it. ! gl everybody!
