worship is more than just a song to God.
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
worship is how we live our lives. how we offer ourselves up, how we dedicate our daily tasks. we can worship any way, shape, or form. whether it is through your studies, your written works, your artwork…
worship is not one-dimensional. so dont let yourself be limited – worship God constantly in all that you do.

something interesting that came up recently was this whole notion of training. not for like sports or anything like that, but similar.
but how often do we train our spiritual life? like… what does it mean to train our spiritual walk?
well if you think about it. when we read our bible. its training our knowledge. when we pray we train our communication. our link with God. when we serve, we train our attitudes.. you get the idea.
i think its interesting cause i’m wondering how missionaries do it – how they pit themselves into the unknown vat of anxiety and fully rely on God. but like if you’ve built up yourself to be able to tune into God. to have enough spiritual stamina to run the race for God – then I guess the things we worry about wont really be what’s on their mind.
so yes.. time to go train my spiritual staminaaaa

What does it mean to be together in spirit? together in one accord?
do you find it difficult to work with others that arn’t on the same page as you? just imagine working in a team where your ideas clash..
just like being together in a physical sense – being together like minded is so important. unified serving and glorifying God. in our theme verse, it mentions they were together in one accord in a fellowship; centered on God. it says to be in one accord in the temples. why? cause thats where God is! if the bible said they met together in one accord out in the fields, they’re purpose would probably to be to go harvest crops.
so in a sense – together in like spirit is like a common purpose for the fellowship.
when i talk about fellowships, i’m sure someone somewhere thinks about fellowship of the ring. right? c’mon admit it. but anyways what makes them different from our fellowship? ultimately its their goal. every fellowship is different, and what defines them is what their common purpose is.
so are you in tune with your fellowships purpose? their goals and visions?
chew on it. *muncch munchh*

sharing…we looked at this in bible study at ccf
we look’d at our theme verse from Acts 2:42-47
Fellowship of the Believers “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
And one thing that really stuck out to me was this notion of sharing found in this verse. it mentions the importance of sharing. we can see here that they shared everything. cause it says they had everything in common. (not like movies or anything in the interest sense) but more so in a fashion that points to having worldly possessions in common.
But why is sharing important anyways?
well, sharing is a very powerful action. one that shows our love to other people. an outward expression of what it means to reflect God’s love. by sharing we can build a relationship with people and really build each other into a stronger fellowship. (mentioned previous post that fellowship is a relationship!) as well we can see in the verse that we are not only called to share w/i our own fellowship but also to the world. (to anyone who had need = the world) i mean what kinda of fellowship would we have if we were just all hogging things and not sharing? would we even have a fellowship at all? let alone friends…?
but heres a better question. why does it say to sell everything we have? does it literally meant that…? everytime i think of this story, the rich young ruler springs forth into my mind.
the story starts with the rich young ruler asking jesus “how do i get into heaven” and is met with a reply to sell all his possessions and follow him. however the man is unable to. and part of sharing is to know that we are just stewards here on earth for God. sharing is not only an act of love but also an act of genuine faith. to be able to realize and entrust that all is from God and all will be provided. so it doesn’t literally mean that we gotta go and sell off our lives, but more to adapt the mentality to be willing to give up what God has made you stewards over.
anyways – by sharing we reflect Christ in our lives. in love, and in faith. like how many times have you heard stories about people that just share their time and random acts of kindnesses to strangers that result in them coming to know God? how often do you share? and are you sharing with the right mindset?
isn’t it about time you experienced what you’ve been hearing in stories? you dont have to wait for a chance for it to happen. go out and share.
good nightt (fall back an hour! yess)
