private prayer
if we consistently spend 5minutes alone with God on a daily basis,
it is better than if we just build it all up and pray for an hour once in a while.
i was reminded,
that prayer shldn’t be something that is put aside
or something that we should do out of routine
but rather something we do actively to communicate with our father
if we leave prayer aside,
it just ends up getting pushed off for other stuff
(and no quickie prayers dont count, like the ones you’ve memorized before meals)
and at the same time
it should be private as well
privacy in the same way that you would want with a lover
a place where the contents of your discussion with God
would remain undisclosed
if God were to make you cry like a baby
or confess your worst sins
nobdy would know
it would be a sincere time of talking to God
allowing even a deeper relationship to be built
non-private prayer time is like skimming the top of a conversation
you never get to the good stuff
dont you hate just talking about absolutely nothing?
but all talk is meaningless,
you gotta go out and do it.
prayer starts first with a time
then a place
and finally a new beginning
