lifesong
lifesong is an evangelistic event held on campus by the uw chinese christian fellowship
however, for whatever reason – it has become one logistical nightmare.
which continues to grow bigger and bigger each year.
and co-ordinating it and has turned into this huge thing
that requires so much man power to run.
personally, i think that’s overkill!
cause the reason why we run lifesong is to reach out to those who have not yet heard the gospel.
the point of lifesong isn’t to have an amazing worship set, or an amazing drama/skit.
it also isn’t about the aesthetics, or the snacks and all that other jazz that has been an done year after year
but it’s about outreach!
it’s about bringing your friends over to listen to the truth that is so undeniable and attractive in nature
and lifesong is just a venue that serves as an excuse to bring others to come and know Christ
you can even have it in a plain room, and just sing and then listen to a speaker
and let God handle the rest,
cause there’s something about His message that never ceases to catch the hearts of those who earnestly listen
coordinating lifesong should be about prayer,
prayer to change lives!
coordinating lifesong should be about challenging people to bring a non-believers to attend
not about pinning everything on one person.
our challenge and our vision should be to
bring a friend and fill half the room with non-believers
for we have been given this light; and we are the light of this world
and together a city on a hill that cannot be hidden
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Matthew 5:13-15
