wrong turns
Sometimes I get really upset, or depressed to think about my friends who have turned away from Christ. Or for whatever reason, stop putting Christ first in their life.
I’ve seen so many people just blow off God in their lives. The reasons may vary – but when I see them now, it pains me to know that they reject/push aside God; Especially when they had come to know Him so strongly at one point or another in their life.
I’m depressed to know and see how University has caused so many people to fall. I’m sad that I can no longer say anything that will move the thoughts imbued in their hearts. I’m genuinely upset to see the potential and heart they once had for God dwindle and disappear. I frustrates me that they will not fully experience the joys of walking together in Christ.
But I have learned one thing. And that is God is sovereign, and that He is love. I’ve learned that there are something that just arn’t meant for me to meddle with, and that I’ve got to learn to let go and let God take full reign of everything. That His perfect will, over time, will manifest itself and bring back his lost sheep. For even if one sheep is lost, he will leave behind the other ninety-nine to go and search until he is found.
All I can do now is just lift it up in my prayers, and trust God to take care of the rest.
PS:
I was reading this off my friend’s blog, from way back when, in a random archive and I found a verse right at the top of the page. I love how miracles still happen today.
Tweet“For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search and find my sheep. I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places to which they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers in all the places where people live. Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in lush mountain pastures. I myself will tend my sheep and cause them to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign LORD. 16I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak. But I will destroy those who are fat and powerful. I will feed them.
