the passion of christ
It pains me to sit through this movie because of all the feelings I get from such a vivid portrayal of Jesus’ cruxifiction. I can’t even imagine it.
Jesus said..
“You are My friends. There is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends. I cannot be with you much longer, My friends. You cannot go where I am going. My commandment to you after I am gone is this: Love one another. As I have loved you, so love one another.”
“Forgive them, Father. They know not what they do.”
“Take this and drink. This is my blood, spilled for you and for many. Do this in memory of me.”
“You have heard it said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. For if you love only those who love you, what reward is there in that?”
“I am the good shepherd. I lay down my life for My sheep. No-one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down and the power to take it up again. This command is from my Father.”
