The Holy Ghost

“You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.”

- Ephesians 1:13-14

Who or what is the Holy Spirit?!

Some view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force or some concept. Others understand the Holy Spirit as some sort of impersonal power available to followers of Christ. But what does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit? The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a Person, a Being with a mind, emotions, and a will.

The Holy Spirit thinks and knows. (1 Corinthians 2:10) The Holy Spirit can be grieved. (Ephesians 4:30) The Spirit intercedes for us. (Romans 8:26-27) The Holy Spirit makes decisions according to His will. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) The Holy Spirit is God, the third “Person” of the Trinity. As God, the Holy Spirit can truly function as the Comforter and Counselor that Jesus promised He would be (John 14:16,26; 15:26)

maybe

seems like I’ve been waiting forever,
not that I mind waiting – but I’m hopeful
hopeful one of these days,
what I’m waiting for will appear
perhaps it my fault,
I’ve been waiting and waiting without taking any risks,
just sitting waiting for the right moment.
or sitting and waiting for God to tell me something
sometimes I doubt that moment will come
but if I believe in a God that has created the world
and a God who provides for me
and has performed miracles like raise Jesus from the grave
what’s to make me doubt?
besides, it’s not like I’m waiting alone
Jesus is waiting with me

Mighty is the Power of the Cross

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

What can take a dying man and raise him up to life again?
What can heal a wounded soul?
What can make us white as snow?
What can fill the emptiness?
What can mend our brokenness?
Brokenness

Mighty, awesome, wonderful
Is the holy cross
Where the Lamb laid down His life
To lift us from the fall

Mighty is the power of the cross

What restores our faith in God?
What reveals the Father’s love?
What can lead the wayward home?
What can melt a heart of stone?
What can free the guilty ones
What can save and overcome?
Overcome

Mighty, awesome, wonderful
Is the holy cross
Where the Lamb laid down His life
To lift us from the fall
Mighty is the power of the cross

It’s a miracle to me
It’s a miracle to me
And It’s still a mystery
And It’s still a mystery
It’s a miracle to me
The power of God
For those who believe

Mighty, awesome, wonderful
Is the holy cross
Where the Lamb laid down His life
To lift us from the fall
Mighty is …….
Mighty is…….
Mighty is the power of the cross

Thank You for the cross
Thank You for the cross
Love the cross
Love the cross
So Powerful…… Oh Yeah
What can take a dying man?
And raise him up to life again?

Worship You Jesus
By your wounds we are healed
By your wounds we are saved
Mighty is the power of the cross
Mighty is the power of the cross
Thank You Jesus for the Holy cross

white sheet

Forgiven

i’m so glad that Jesus’ blood has covered my sins
even though i may see the scars
all God sees is this white sheet that covers us
and all is forgiven

the passion of christ

It pains me to sit through this movie because of all the feelings I get from such a vivid portrayal of Jesus’ cruxifiction. I can’t even imagine it.

Jesus said..

“You are My friends. There is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends. I cannot be with you much longer, My friends. You cannot go where I am going. My commandment to you after I am gone is this: Love one another. As I have loved you, so love one another.”
