God’s Best

OurBest

God gave his best for us, therefore we should give nothing short of our best back to God.

There is a saying that goes, “my utmost for His highest,” which is truly what we ought to strive to do in all facets of our life. God did not give us a half-blemished lamb, but rather a pure and perfect one. The best, which is Jesus Christ His Son, who existed even before the world began.

God did not leave anything unfinished, He made sure that Jesus – our sole mediator (1 Tim 2:5-6) – was sufficient to redeem us back into His arms. Nothing was left undone. The final words of Jesus Christ proclaimed that “it is finished.” (Not half-finished, Hebrews 10)

You see, there is nothing we could have done to buy ourselves redemption. However, a way was made. So let it be a challenge and reminder for us to live a life that acknowledges that.

Jesus Christ is truly the unique revelation, demonstration, exhibition and elucidation of God, who otherwise is essentially an enigma to us, and apart from the Word made flesh (Jesus), would remain so.

You hear stories where friends lay down their lives for each other – and the survivor of the ordeal decides to dedicate his life to live with twice the intensity, such that both their dreams may be fulfilled.

So then why not us? Jesus died for us, so let us live like our lives belong to God. Let us live our utmost for His highest!

Live joyfully
Live hospitably
Live sacrificially
Live passionately
Live a life of peace
Live with our eyes fixed on Jesus.
Live righteously, live a life of holiness. (1 Pt 1:15-16)
