Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. it’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.
- Obama
Failure is unpleasant. Failing at the same thing multiple times is even more unpleasant. But don’t let shame move you into inaction. I like the quote because success takes patience, commitment and lots of failure. Successful people have failed thousands of times, you just never hear about it.
But persevere and God will make you complete.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything… Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
- James 1:4,12

Even though we fall, our worth is not diminished in the eyes of our Father. Do not be discouraged, but step out in renewed faith and conviction for the power of saving grace is more amazing than you can imagine.
Renew yourself in Christ, and start fresh everyday.

Transitioning is never smooth, and often it’s easy to forget how to live a strong Christian life.
It’s easy to be lazy with our walks with God; I know ’cause I’ve slacked off. It’s easy to indulge in the joys of this world and forget about living out the faith. (Enjoying tv, hockey, sports, etc…)
But today, even though I know all good things come from the Lord, I am reminded that I need to be more committed to my Spiritual disciplines. It’s never easy at first, but I know there is joy that comes from a deeper and more intimate relationship with Christ.
May the Lord keep me and spur me on to do the little things right.

Obedience is a response to love
Evangelism a response to obedience
Loving God a response to His first love for us.
When your relationship with God ceases to be a personal one. Evangelism will not be near your heart.
